We are pleased to announce that Harrogate Steel’s application for The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) Premium Plus accreditation has been assessed and verified. This means that we have achieved the CHAS standard for:

  • Health & Safety Assessment
  • Environmental Verification
  • Quality Management Verification
  • Equal Opportunities & Diversity Verification
  • Financial & Business Standing Verification
  • Anti-Bribery & Corruption Verification
  • Modern Slavery Verification

The certificate states that ‘Harrogate Steel has demonstrated compliance with the CHAS standards in line with SSIP Core Criteria and UK H&S Legislation and has been awarded accreditation to the requirements of the CDM Regulations 2015. Additionally, it has demonstrated full compliance with 6 modules of PAS 91.’

CHAS was founded in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK and is a leading authority on health and safety compliance, setting industry benchmarks and providing assurance and reassurance.

Dan Worsell, Operations Director of Harrogate Steel, said: “Along with CE accreditation, this latest certification demonstrates our commitment to putting health and safety at the heart of everything we do. We are an ambitious company working with contractors of a range of sizes on an array of commercial and domestic construction projects. This is just another ‘string to our bow’ and  gives our  clients peace of mind that we’re a quality, professional partner. Well done to our expert team for this achievement.”
