The Harrogate Steel team is busy onsite in Hull, working in partnership with Zenith Development Group on the build of the new Allam Diabetes Centre for Hull and East Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Businessman and philanthropist Dr Assem Allam donated almost £8m to Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for the provision of these world-class treatment and research facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital and we are proud to be involved in its construction.
Harrogate Steel has been appointed to undertake connection design, detailing, fabrication and installation of the 140 tonne steel frame for the new building, We will work closely with the design team to ensure the complex architectural requirements are fully incorporated into the structural steel frame from the outset.
Richard Searle, Harrogate Steel’s Commercial Director, said: “We are extremely proud to be involved in this project, working in partnership with Zenith to support the NHS to grow and deliver world leading treatment. The building has a curved design which adds a layer of complexity, but we are experienced in designing, manufacturing and installing steel structures of all shapes and sizes, with a focus on attention to detail and we enjoy playing our part in bringing exciting projects like this to life.”
