We are proud to have been awarded the steel work contract for a new classroom block at Harrogate Grammar School. The new building will enable the school’s expansion plans by creating three additional classrooms, a large atrium to be used during winter months, and a new student entrance to address congestion during lesson transition times.

Harrogate Steel will be undertaking the connection design, detailing, fabrication and installation of the 45-tonne steel frame for the new structure.

Richard Searle, Harrogate Steel’s Commercial Director, said: “As we grow and start to work on bigger projects for larger contractors, our strategy is to remain focused on our local area/region where possible so to have the chance to be involved in a local project that is close to our hearts is a great way to start 2020.

“As always, our priority will be on delivering not only a high-quality product but also a top-class service which will include helping to minimise disruption to the day-to-day workings of the school during the installation process.”
